Each SurveyMonkey plan comes with a set number of responses a user, or team of users, can view. These limits work differently depending on your plan and billing cycle. To compare offerings, see plans and pricing.

A response is one survey takers’ submission to a survey. A response may have any status, including incomplete or deleted.

Per-Survey Limits

With per-survey response limits, you can view a set number of responses per survey according to your plan. To see a survey’s response count, go to My Surveys.

Responses over the survey’s limit aren’t viewable and will be deleted 60 days after they’re collected.

TIP! To view and keep access to all of your responses, upgrade to a paid plan.

Self-Serve Monthly and Annual Limits

If your plan has an account response limit, responses across all surveys are combined and counted each billing cycle. Unused responses do not roll over. If you exceed survey responses in a billing cycle, there will be an additional $0.80 charge per response:

  • All responses, including ones you delete, count towards your overage.
  • You’ll receive a separate invoice for Billable Responses at your next billing date.
  • You’re billed automatically to the payment method on file on the start date of the next billing cycle. Your next subscription and your overages are billed at the same time but as two separate charges.
  • The amount depends on the currency in which you pay for your plan.
  • The response count is set back to 0 at the start of the next billing cycle.

You can check your response count from My Account.

Enterprise Annual Limits

Enterprise plans have annual response limits. Contact sales or your CSM to learn more about this option.
